RSS sounds magnificent. Constant news up-dates! If I were a reporter. Instead I got just annoyed by the small window opening up to select more info. I guess it’s good to be up-to-date living in this world but then scanning through the news sites without preselection offers more surprises – or cross-reference information. Maybe it’s just all about balancing general and specific information whatever your job is?

I already find it quite hard to keep up with my leisure reading, – books I mean, to be checking website updates every day. Once a week sounds more realistic to me but that’s just my personal opinion.

I signed up for Google reader which I wasn’t aware of initially as a Gmail customer. Signing up was fast and convenient which is a good thing to be motivated for doing so. I appreciate the simplistic style of Google appliances and therefore decided  not to option the personalisations. Who knows – that might change. It’s better to have a choice than no information at all I think.

MSN / blog intro

June 9, 2009

Today’s intro to MSN was very insightful. Personally I think that it’s confusing to switch in between windows and there might be delays in transmission. Gmail offers instant messaging without having to open additional windows.

Then it pretty much depends on how many people use MSN that I know of.  It seems for each social networking site I have to make sure to keep it up to date and not lose track of previous ones. Maybe the future web 2.0 will be a giant landfill heaped with derelict social networking sites.

It’s nice to act like my own reporter by editing this blog. Workwise that’s less distracting than waiting for instant replies.  I do hope I won’t type in too much junk info!
